Relaxation Resources. These Free Resources are made available through Living Light River Studio in Floyd, VA.
1-Yoga Nidra- Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation, or yogic sleep that creates deep relaxation. Find a quiet comfortable space to lie down, a yoga mat or bed are perfect, sitting is ok as well. Bring a blanket and eye pillow if you have one, and prepare for a 20 minute guided meditation.
2-Gentle Restorative Yoga
A 60 minute gentle meditative yoga practice, that can help with stress and anxiety, deep skeletal-muscular relaxation, balance of the nervous system, and increase the production of endorphins- the hormones of happiness. You'll need a mat, 2 blankets, a bolster or 2 bed pillows and an eye pillow or soft hand towel to cover the eyes.
3-Hatha Flow Yoga- For the intermediate student, who has practiced more than 6 times. 60 minute yoga class, pranayama, warm ups, circular breathing, asana, savasana, and short meditation. All levels, if you're a beginner, take it slow and do maybe 30 minutes first time through.
Awake in Nature
A mindful outdoor experience is an opportunity to slow down, awaken our senses and deepen our connection to the living earth and to ourselves.
Mindful outdoor retreats may be planned for 1/2 days up to a full 3 day overnight experience. Includes knowledge of the land, hiking, fire building, mindful walking, meditation, movement, destress, forest & river connection, and more.
